it ain't half hot mum

been watching some back copies and reading about the actors who have passed over - a re-run as refused as later it was considered racist. I can understand that thinking but I do think that the Indians featured in the series were of course 'taking the piss of the soldiers' and usually coming better off by enlarge? the constant rage of the sergeant major being countered by the colonel and captain who supported the 'performing gang' was a perfect balance imo

I thought it was mostly very well done and a mirror of the way things were then.
I think only very easily upset people could consider it racist.
