Help needed....

I have a HP Envy notebook computer, not had it long.Only use it occasionally.
Yesterday when I got it out to do updates etc, I noticed that the page you get when you switch it on has all the square Apps to click on but after clicking on a couple of times to get to things like photos etc I would want to click on them again but it does not work.
If I switch the computer off and on again it does the same,  any ideas whats wrong please.

Did you do the updates anyway? If not, that could sort it out. Also, when you click on the tiles (squares) and open a program, are you sure that it got closed down after use. My thinking is that if the program is already running in the background (because it hasn't closed down properly when last used). It may not open another photo because the App is already running from the first time.

If this were the case, you'd see the App's icon to the left of the Taskbar. Right-click on the icon and choose 'Close window'. Then try to open another photo.

Always hard to know what might be going on without seeing the problem but hope this helps.
