| I prefer Dean Koontz, Lee Child, Stephen King, James Herbert etc. ----------------------------------------- Gustav Mahler is the finest composer who ever lived. |

To each his/her own Hetty. To me her work is on a par with Enid Blyton. |

And me Hetty :;smile: I also like the exact opposite too. Crime thrillers. I tend to get free books off kindle. Have no particular favourite author but JK is different. Great documentary about her rise to fame. She wrote her first book in a coffee shop in Scotland. Cannot remember if it was Glasgow or not though. |

Hetty have you tried any of the brilliant crime thriller writer James Lee Burke, if not then do yourself a favour and try one, they are all full of 'Americanisms' but you soon understand them. |

| No, I haven't read any of his but I have had a quick look at his website and I like the sound of the Robicheaux series. Will look for his books next time I go to the library. |
