Lanzarote

Unlike the other islands Lanza only has one high rise in the city. All low level white building. 

Most Canarians from the other islands say the same. They over developed years ago and regretted it.

I am not a fan of all of the island but the inner and North are incredible south is best as it's warmer

As I type this we are in Lanzarote - staying in the Timanfaya Palace Hotel in Playa Blanca. We have a hire car and have visited a few places, including The Volcano Park, El Golfo, LagOmar, Los Hervidos, Mirador Del Rio (awesome), Porto Calero (lovely), Puerto Del Carmen (Not impressed) and Rubican Harbour (Market day)

Our mini holiday has been wonderful despite the cloudy but warm weather. We usually go to Tenerife at this time each year but decided to try Lanzarote for the first time. We are so pleased we did - and we will be returning.

Where on the Island do you live? - we may well have been quite near to you during the past few dats.

It's back home for us tomorrow unfortunately after a splendid short break.

Near the Yaiza Hotel. We walk along the promenade most days. 

I would have met for a coffee but had a lot on this passed few days.

Not very popular in the UK but David Cameron loves it here. We saw him casually sitting in one of the restaurants by the marina. Apparently there were loads of security guys I never spotted them. He does smile at you when you walk past.

You are definitely in the right location. Same here with those other locations agree entirely
