His voice is pleasant enough, but he unfortunately has not fulfilled the potential that he showed as a boy soprano. It is lacking the power and timbre to compete with the likes of the famous opera singers.

He is much better live in concert. Not a dry eye in the house. He works on radio now I think

I am not certain. Unfortunately, my Dad passed away before I could ask. He was born in the West Midlands after the family moved seeking work.
My maiden name was Thomas... extremely difficult trying to do family history! :D

any of yuz come across the infamous Tristan Jones born in Liverpool out of wedlock and brought up in an orphanage - he became a sailor and writer but often fudged the lines between fact and fiction and died a bitter old man living in a wheelchair in Thailand? bit of a conman as well

I toured wales in 2000 looking through quaint old hamlets and villages asking locals if anyone knew of him 80 yr olds and above and also hit the local libraries and BDM's office and was told by one dear lady oh the yanks are here each yr looking for traces of him - saw some beautiful countryside mind you yakki dah - and beat the foot and mouth epidemic by a year I think - I think I've still got some diary accounts of our Welsh travels?

The Welsh are a very friendly bunch. The Pembrokeshire coastline is beautiful.
My problem it rained too much so hence moved to warmer climes.
We go back often to see family but generally can't wait to get back here
