Happens all the time MM.....They normally don't run......We had a couple come in last summer and have menu del dia and drinks....Total 35 Euros and said they couldn't pay.....Waited for the police who can do nothing apart from allowing me to make an official ' Denuncia'....Wait three months, go to court where the magistrate will fine them but they have no money to pay. The state then embargoes their salary but they don't work???
You can't go into a restaurant in Italy or Greece where there are lots of transient people without paying up front for your food....It will soon be all over Southern Europe as we are inundated with migrants/immigrants, legal and illegal....A sad fact I am afraid..
