I accompanied management to the supermarket today and found it the usual frustrating experience.
My people watching whilst there, convinced me that an indicator of whether someone is a good driver or not is to go shopping in a supermarket that is busy.
The people who dawdle down the centre of the aisle totally oblivious of the fact they are holding back other customers
Those who park their trolley at an angle and block all traffic,
Those who crash into you,
Those who charge out of an aisle intersection without looking,
Those who suddenly reverse without any regard for who is behind them
Those who park their trolley against shelves you need to access and wander off to look for I know not what
Are all highly likely to exhibit the same habits in the car.
It's enough to give you aisle rage.
By my observations today - there are thousands of the buggers - and most of them are women....
I took great pleasure today in moving a trolley, that was well loaded and left in front of shelves, half way down the store.
It's part of my training course at being a grumpy old man. I've done all the basic training but have now moved up to the advanced level.
(I may even reach andsome's level of proficiency)
