| a recent report has suggested that by 2030 35% of current jobs will be allocated to robots. If you think you have unemployment problems now there's more coming! robots |

| One of the original hopes with the advent of mechanisation was that humans would still be paid but work much shorter hours. The advance of robotics could make this a fact but I somehow doubt it. ----------------------------------------- Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol!

| Thank God I'm retired. The outlook for our Grand kids doesn't look all that bright at all. |

| I think you are being overly pessimistic.
In 2020 Jeremy Corbyn and the loony left will sweep into power at a time when we have just left the EU with inflation at an all-time low and the highest annual growth in GDP in the developed Word.
The new government will encourage people to leave work and live on benefits, paid out of borrowings we have no prospect of ever repaying.
The robots will be required to join a union and be protected from over-work by regular work to rule periods and quarterly strikes. This will provide an opportunity for migrant workers to take over from robots whilst they are resting.
All prisoners will be released (Except only rapists, murderers, terrorists and those guilty of contempt of court) and the empty prison cells will be made available to accommodate the elderly who cannot afford care home fees.
Higher education will be confined to those who wish to study Marx or Stalin economics and unrestricted immigration will fill those jobs considered beneath Anglo Saxons.
Our grandchildren will not have to strive and suffer the way we have - the good life will be handed to them by the fatherland.
Heil Corbyn.
