The Isle of Wight (not far from here) has an annual garlic festival. I once saw there square garlic. This was elephant garlic which had been grown in a square container thus restricting its growth. It was described as the garlic of the future as it packed together easily for transport.

Exactly pops - that's what I inferred.

We have square garlic all the time - we mince fresh garlic and freeze it in ice cube trays. Hence we can grab an easy supply of ready chopped garlic when cooking.  You have to store it in a clip lock sealed plastic container though - or it stinks the freezer out.

I rarely mince garlic, too messy and wasteful,I always chop it into small pieces . It all blends in when cooked. The only time I ever mince it is when we fancy mashed tuna with a very generous helping of tomato ketchup, and minced garlic ,made into sandwiches.

Not if you butter the bread and fold it butter side inwards before putting it in the toastie maker.

It is then officially a butter toastie. You can use cheese instead but then it's a cheese toastie.

So there.....Toasties - Page 3 Tongue10

Supper would give me indigestion. A warm milky drink is ideal.
