Bee Eaters Empty
PostSubject: Bee Eaters   Bee Eaters EmptyFri Jan 07, 2022 1:19 pm

I have just witnessed an amazing sight out of my kitchen window....a flock of multi coloured sparrow sized birds.
Never having see this bird before I had to consult Mr Google and discovered that they were in fact European Bee Eaters !!! and were a very rare sighting indeed
There were around ten or so in number and were making short flitting movements in the field at the back of my house, just over the fence.
It was an incredible sight.Bee Eaters A-bee-10

Not going to find much food this time of year.
You will be invaded by twitchers!

You have been lucky MM to have seen a flock of them, they are attuned to more temperate climates......The sheer amount of garden birds we are lucky to have visit daily, never fails to amaze me and the amount we spend on seeds and nuts annually is, well too much.
