Just seen an article stating that there has been an increase n accidents on the Tube escalators because people are afraid to hold the handrails in case they get Covid.

I can understand the reluctance not to touch handles and handrails. Nobody seems really convinced that the virus can't be transmitted by surfaces. I'd hang onto the handrail but I carry a small hand-gel pump for frequent use. It might be unnecessary to use it but perhaps every little helps.
