| Back when corporal punishment was allowed in schools, a junior teacher named Miss Briggs, complained to the headmaster, Mr Jones, that she had spanked Johnny Thomas so much that her arm hurt yet it seemed to have had no effect on the boy.
"When you want him spanked again send him to me", Mr. Jones said
Next morning, Johnny knocked on Mr. Jones door, looking downcast. Did Miss Briggs send you? asked Mr Jones sharply,
"Yes Sir," Johnny admitted.
"I thought as much! Bend down and touch your toes" and proceeded to give him six hard whacks with a cane. Later when Johnny's howls died down, Mr. Jones demanded sternly, "And now what have you to say for yourself".
