Hospital

I am back in hospital now, locally in Stevenage. I have an infection in my hip bone where I had a bone marrow biopsy two weeks ago.

Sorry to read that Purwell. Hopefully, you'll only be in there for a few days. Are you in much pain with it?

Hope you soon recover mate..... hospital is grim place to be when you are ill but the treatment is the best in the world !

Still in a lot of pain although I did manage a short physio session this morning.

I see you posting in the 'Good morning' thread again. How are you now?

Getting stronger every day but more chemo still needed when my bloods have recovered.
Doctors are happy with my progress.

Yes I am back home, been out since just before Christmas.

I picked up another infection somewhere and spent another 10 days in hospital a couple of weeks ago but a course of antibiotics sorted me out.

Just spoke to consultant, blood levels have recovered well. Slight change of plan inasmuch as I now go to London for blood test and Covid swab this Friday and bone marrow biopsy on Monday. They seem quite confident that they can give me a break from the Chemo for a while.

You do have to put up with a lot Purwell. I hope everything goes turns out for the best.

I don't think there is a 100% cure, just a plan to keep me alive until something else polishes me off!
