I really do love flowers and attractive trees. We have an acer in a pot on the patio, and two in the garden, all shrubs. We also have a small acer tree in the garden, it is green with a hint of purple during the summer, but in autumn it turns absolutely brilliant scarlet. I don't have a picture of it to post now as it is the wrong time of the year. This is on the internet Acer palmatum 'Osakazuki'

I'd have a job to name a favourite flower. That's partly because I don't know what most of them are called but also because I admire them all. Here are some in our garden that I thought looked good and so were worth photographing: Bluebell: Laurel flower: Primrose: I don't know: Rhododendron: Daffodil: Columbine: Peony:

Ah well, it shows the flowers but not the surroundings Malcolm. It probably isn't as good in general as your own garden. It is even a bit wild in some parts but as long as the grass is kept cut, it doesn't look too bad.
