Yes but despite their fearsome name they have rarely attacked humans. I think only one fatality has been recorded. Must have been really hungry or else short sighted. :-)

Whale goodness me! I think I'd have got out of the water quick too ..not wanting to put to the test that they rarely attack humans. :)

We must smell funny to them.
