watched this compliments of google and free sites twice over a 48hr period. It stars trevor howard and was said to be one of his personal favourites. It also stared in a minor role I suppose a young Peter Finch as a catholic priest. All in black and white of course and set in colonial Sierra Leone off the west coast of Africa before the end of the second world war.
it was more fascinating for what was NOT said at times and that's why I watched it twice - Howard was superb - the grim stiff upper lip colonial policeman and staunch catholic breaking the rules.
well worth a watch!
