The word CELEBRITY is one.  These days it has become totally meaningless, there is nothing to celebrate about  most of the people who are referred to as celebrities.  They are mainly non entities.


I also hate the whole concept of royalty and aristocracy.  It is mediaeval.

I associate a celebrity with someone who is famous, and not to some dim-witted wannabee who is so desperate to get their face on tv - they`ll do anything.
No wonder most of them are so uneducated?

I have mentioned this in another topic, but I really do hate the screaming audiences on talent shows.  This why we won't watch them.

Not just talent shows (in the main a misnomer!).

Even University Challenge has them!

I cringe every time I hear the letter aitch pronounced haitch.  This really is one of my pet hates.

Also motorists who don't acknowldge you when you wait to let them go first.

It's endemic amongst the younger generation now, country wide.

The word 'like' all the time and 'you know'.

As far as we are concerned there is only one antiques show, and that is The antiques road show.  We hate all the spin offs, once again the BBC has gone OTT.  We particularly hate that on with the red team and blue team, with that prat who wears his specs on the end of his nose, and they all kick their legs in the air at the end and shout YES.

I get very annoyed these days that programme planners cannot stick to scheduled timings.  There was a day when the BBC started and ended all programmes on time.  No it is very irritating to set a programme to record, only to find that it started several minutes late and the end of the recording is missed out.  Even when running several minutes late they insist on showing all the trailers for future programmes.

People that dribble on Toilet seats, and don't clean it.

I hate hearing football commentators saying that a player has EARNED a penalty.   This is a ridiculous statement.  Penalties are awarded by the referee because of an infringement.  It is of course possible to fool the referee into giving a penalty by cheating, but this cannot be said to be earning.
