And me Hetty  :;smile: I also like the exact opposite too. Crime thrillers. I tend to get free books off kindle.

Have no particular favourite author but JK is different. Great documentary  about her rise to fame. She wrote her first book in a coffee shop in Scotland. Cannot remember if it was Glasgow or not though.

Hetty have you tried any of the brilliant crime thriller writer James Lee Burke, if not then do yourself a favour and try one, they are all full of 'Americanisms' but you soon understand them.

No, I haven't read any of his but I have had a quick look at his website and I like the sound of the Robicheaux series. Will look for his books next time I go to the library. thumb
