| I heard last night that someone I've known for 53 years has died. We weren't close but sad news nonetheless. A couple of weeks ago, someone I'd known for about 46 years died. Again not close but sorry to hear of it. They both bring back memories. A neighbour died recently too.
Blimey! It seems this might happen on a regular basis now that we've reached an age we never thought we would reach. Growing old was only for other people, not us. Now here we are, well advanced along life's conveyor belt and is seems it's nearing our turn to drop off the end.
Sorry if I've depressed anyone this cheery thought on a Sunday morning but it does seem to be something we have to accept and/or come to terms with. |

| Sorry to hear that Mart x.
That is why I try to enjoy everyday as if it were my last. My ambition was to live in Spain which I have achieved. It was a great loss to us when my brother died aged 40. He knew he was terminal and told me to live life to the full. Which I do.
The scales are definitely tipping the wrong way at our time of life, |

| I'm always intrigued that I am, statistically speaking, in the last 3%! Isn't that encouraging? ----------------------------------------- Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol!

Yes, that is very encouraging Ciderman. It must be down to the good living and clean air. :) - Purwell wrote:

It would be a strange feeling if you read the local paper and saw your name there. :) |
