| I did another image earlier today. It has no photographic content, although it almost looks like a photo ..but no, it is purely a vector drawing. About 50 years ago, I went to an outdoor Sunday art gallery (Bayswater Road - London). Lots of artists had made interesting pictures from scrap metal, old cogs etc. I reckoned I could do that and made a picture using nails. I still have it to this day. I wondered if I could reproduce it as a vector drawing and below is the result. I can post a photo of the 50 year old nail picture if anyone is interested. The nails aren't all nice and shiny in the real thing because it has been stored out in the garage: |

| Something else I did was to draw a heart starting off with just one vertical line! I just love vector drawing programs. Such clever software. 'Xara Photo & Graphic Designer' is my favourite. 1. Draw a vertical line. 2. Shape the line. 3. Duplicate and reverse the shaped line. 4. Position and join the lines. 5. Fill the object with a deep red. 6. Duplicate the heart, make the duplicate smaller and fill with a lighter red. 7. Put the small heart in the middle of the larger heart. 8. Do a 25 step blend between the two hearts. 9. Using a duplicate of the small heart (6) colour it while and add a transparency. 10. Feather the transparency. 11. Put the feathered transparency (10) on top of the blended hearts (8) and add text. |
