Haydn - THE CREATION Empty

As some of you may know, I am a complete atheist but, one of my true passions is religious choral music - well, most religious music actually except the dirges that are sung in modern church services.

Anyway, to celebrate Easter, here is a reasonably good rendition of Haydn The Creation.

If you don't know the work, some little way in it goes extremely quiet (not a fault of the recording) so make sure you have the sound turned up well. In this recording the quiet begins 9min 45secs

Malcolm, you beat me to it - the Allegri was to be my next contribution.

I once had the privilege of sitting in the choir at Lincoln Cathedral during a perfomance.

I was brought up in my tender years as a Roman Catholic and we were taught to sing Gregorian plainchant in a choir, I loved it then and have loved it ever since.
