| Anyone else into adding a little something to help them get through the day? Nothing exotic or illegal I must stress, but I do take a fish oil capsule and a glucosamine tablet every day to help my old joints. |

| Any REAL evidence that either of them actually work - except perhaps for the placebo effect ?

| Interesting one. No is the answer. I only take what the doctor prescribes if unwell.
I do find that since moving to warmer climes my aches and pains have disappeared.
I guess you tend to walk more and to be to be out and about more due to the sunshine. We don't tend to lie in the sun though when you live somewhere full time.
I used to get joint pain due to the damp when I lived in Wales. |

| I don't have anything for adding to health but there is a 1000mg vitamin C and Zinc tablet that makes a good fizzy drink. I have that with dinner sometimes to help wash it down. I don't know if it does any good but it tastes nice. |

Several of those pills say stuff like "Avoid alcohol". Hell, I wash 'em down with the stuff ! |

It seems to work for me on the bigger joints, hips etc. but I only take 1000mgs. I certainly notice if I run out for longer than a few days. I asked my doctor about it some years back and he told me it was a mild painkiller. |

| I take vitamin D to help compensate for my lack of exposure to natural sunlight.
Don't know if it does anything real but it gives a sense of confidence. |

| Aside from the odd ibuprofen when I've broken bones or twisted things, I don't take any medication. Lucky I suppose? |
