Ignorant little folk who are desperate to impress by making remarks about other people`s spelling and/or grammar mistakes ... angry grrrrr.. angry especially when their own grammar is far from perfect! (just read one on another site!)
How disconcerting this must be for those who want to join in, but have real difficulty putting a message or letter together. grrrrrrrrrr angry
I`m undecided, scratch do I ignore these narrow minded twerps, or give them a piece of my mind? Mad

Vent over! :)

The trouble with forums today is people are keyboard critics of almost anything peppadew. There is little of just being happy to be able to converse as a social group but more of how can I shock.  Peoples feelings are being considered less and less.

For any members grammar to be pulled apart for all to see on any Forum for whatever reason is indicative of that forums principles and best left alone.

There are enough forums now for anyone to find their niche and to be accepted for who they are and not for their spelling etc

I must admit that I don't like to see poor spelling and grammar but always resist the temptation to point out the errors.
Spell checkers are free and some even correct common grammatical errors too.
I use a Firefox browser with British English Dictionary installed, it automatically points out and highlights errors, I would be lost without it !

It doesn't worry me on forums...people type quick and quite often you get a mistype or double letters you did not intend.  The spelling mistakes I hate are in restaurant menus, or notices in shops....I hate these so much.   If you are writing for the public to read....the spelling has just GOT to be right.

Spelling errors? Don't interest me. I probably make one or two myself and hope people are laidback enough to let them go unremarked.
Much more interesting for me is what people have to say.

I'm a stickler for grammar and spelling in my own writings, but wouldn't be so arrogant as to criticise those who have not had the benefit  of a similar education.

Such critics only succeed in making themselves look small.
